Our Vision
Keeping the Culture of Questioning Alive and Kicking
PEACE believes that the ability to question, especially by marginalized sections, is a critical lever for social change. This involves fostering an environment where critical thinking becomes a daily practice, enabling individuals to challenge societal norms, recognize systemic inequities, and push against structures that perpetuate exclusion and oppression. By encouraging communities to ask questions, participants begin to see the larger picture, connecting personal struggles to systemic challenges, which helps them build an enlightened perspective and make informed decisions about their socio-economic and political realities.
This process creates collective agency and resilience, empowering marginalised voices to advocate effectively for their rights. It reinforces their ability to navigate and transform macro structures that impact their lives, enabling a participatory and equitable social order.
Our objective is to reinforce faith in the philosophy of participation that provides critical thrust to the issue of people’s control over processes and structures affecting their lives. Participation is not merely a technique to elicit involvement for the vindication of programs and schemes, but a transformative tool that enables individuals to question systemic inequities, critically reflect on societal structures, and actively shape equitable systems. Cultivating a culture of inquiry and reflection ensures that marginalized voices are heard and central to driving sustainable social change.
